Who it is for
Emotional support animals are companion dogs whose presence matters to a handler. They are not service dogs. They do not have blanket public access rights. Pavlov's Pooch Dog Training and Beyond will help you build settle, crate comfort, polite greetings, and urban manners so the dog is easier to live with in an apartment or a shared house in Greater Philadelphia. We do not write ESA letters. We do not partner with sites that sell them. If you need documentation, that conversation belongs with your licensed mental health provider. If you need a dog who can ride in an elevator without exploding, that conversation belongs with us.
What happens
The evaluation looks like a manners and wellness visit. We ask about sleep, barking in the unit, elevator trips, and how the dog behaves when you are working from home. Plans often include place training, a decompression walk route in your neighborhood, and enrichment that is not another hour of fetch in a narrow hall. If the dog is anxious, we go slowly. We may recommend a veterinary conversation about comfort and health. We will not flood a scared dog with Center City crowds to “get them used to it.” Association still rules. If the lobby predicts panic, we change the lobby plan first. You will leave with skills that help any companion dog, ESA paperwork or not: a settle on a mat, a quieter door, and a way to give the dog a job besides monitoring the alley. That is the “and Beyond” part of our name, applied to ordinary Tuesdays.
Timeline

Think elevators, package deliveries, roommates, and the hour you need the dog to rest while you take a call. Those are the drills. We also talk about enrichment that does not wreck a small apartment: snuffle meals, a chew on a mat, a sniff walk that is allowed to be slow.
